Biological activity

It belongs to next groups of Bioreference compounds:
Therapeutic areas:

Analgesics    Anti-Inflammatory    CNS Agents

Target:

Enzymes    Cyclooxygenase (COX)    Lipoxygenases    Lipases    Ion Channels    Potassium channel    Sodium channel    Multidrug Transporter Inhibitors    P-glycoprotein/ABCB1

Description:

Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with analgesic and antipyretic properties. It inhibits both leukocyte migration and the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to the peripheral inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis.

Targets:Prostaglandin G/H synthase 2; Prostaglandin G/H synthase 1; Arachidonate 5-lipoxygenase; Sodium channel protein type 4 subunit alpha; Acid-sensing ion channel 1; Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily KQT member 2; Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily KQT member 3; Phospholipase A2, membrane associated;
