Description: | Enflurane is an anesthetic. It induces muscle relaxation and reduces pains sensitivity by altering tissue excitability. Enflurane acts as a positive allosteric modulator of the GABAA, glycine, and 5-HT3 receptors, and as a negative allosteric modulator of the AMPA, kainate, and NMDA receptors, as well as of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. |
Targets: | GABA-A receptor (anion channel); Glycine receptor (alpha-1/beta); Intermediate conductance calcium-activated potassium channel protein 4; Potassium voltage-gated channel subfamily A member 1; Calcium-transporting ATPase type 2C member 1; Glutamate receptor 1; ATP synthase subunit delta, mitochondrial; |
