Biological activity

It belongs to next groups of Bioreference compounds:
Therapeutic areas:

Analgesics    CNS Agents

Target:

Enzymes    Acetylcholinesterase    Cholinesterase    Phosphatases    Lipases

Description:

Choline is a precursor to acetylcholine. It is needed for good nerve conduction throughout the CNS. Choline is also needed for gallbladder regulation, liver function, and lecithin formation; for cholesterol metabolism and prevents excessive fat build up in the liver.

Targets:Choline-phosphate cytidylyltransferase B; Acetylcholinesterase; Choline-phosphate cytidylyltransferase A; Phospholipase D2; Cholinesterase; Phospholipase D1; Phosphoethanolamine/phosphocholine phosphatase; Neuronal acetylcholine receptor subunit alpha-7;
