Description:

Quinapril hydrochloride is a prodrug, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. It is metabolized to quinaprilat (quinapril diacid) following oral administration. Quinaprilat is a competitive inhibitor of ACE, the enzyme responsible for the conversion of angiotensin I (ATI) to angiotensin II (ATII).
