Description:

Nicotine is highly toxic alkaloid, nicotinic acetylcholine receptors agonist. In the brain, nicotine binds to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors on dopaminergic neurons in the cortico-limbic pathways. It exhibits vasoconstrictive, hypertensive and prothrombotic activity.
